It is an honor to be the State Representative for Stanly, Union & Montgomery Counties, and I appreciate all the support and prayers I have received since I was elected in 2008.

In my first term I have fought for our conservative values and to protect the taxpayer's wallet. I have worked hard to give you a voice by being on the job everyday to speak-out and vote against the Democrat's liberal agenda and against billions of dollars in tax and fee increases. The decisions made in the General Assembly have a profound effect on our lives, communities, neighborhoods and families - we must have someone who stands out as a leader in Raleigh and I believe I have done that in my time in the Legislature. As a conservative in Raleigh, I find myself in the minority, and our state continues to face many problems that our current leadership will not address, but even in the minority I am proud that I have still been able to work with many colleagues from all corners of the state to pass important legislation. I will continue my efforts to represent and fight for you in 2011 with your continued support in this year's election.

• Make North Carolina a business friendly and job creating state - we must put our citizens back to work in the private sector

• Local Control over State and Federal . . . we should do our best to allow Local Government to run their own communities with little interference from DC and Raleigh
• Pro-Life
• Preservation of Traditional Marriage
• Protect & Expand Second Amendment Rights
• Keep the Death Penalty as an option for the North Carolina Judicial System
• Enforce Immigration Laws and Improve Controls for Immigration
• Fight for more state funds to improve the districts underfunded Road Projects and Judicial System
• Stop the revolving door in our Judicial System
